QLD Pathways Squad

In 2018 and 2019, Toowong Rowing Club partnered with Rowing Queensland and UQBC to host the Queensland Schools Pathway Program. 

 

The Pathway Program is a Rowing Australia initiative for the leading schoolboy and schoolgirl rowers in each State to compete against each other and possibly be selected as the Junior National crew to compete at the World Junior Rowing Championships.

The Pathway Program aims to:

• expose school rowers and coaches to the next level of rowing

• enable rowers to experience the national rowing selection process 

• compete against their school counterparts from around the country

• work with high-level coaches and support staff 

• encourage school rowers to make the next step in their rowing pathway.  

 

In Queensland, we are leading the charge: in 2018 and 2019, we fielded four eights.
