TRC's Junior/HP Winter Program Trialling Day

TRC's high-performance squad is running a winter program on Sunday, 16 April 2023 from 6 am to 8 am (away by 8:30 am) that will enable you to train in big boats alongside our established athletes. Come along if you are interested and one of the following describes you:

• a Year Eleven 1st or 2nd VIII rower or coxswain wanting to keep rowing over the winter to improve your technique for the 2024 season;
• a Year Twelve 1st or 2nd VII rower or coxswain wanting to continue rowing or to simply stay in touch with the sport until you have completed year 12 before continuing with competitive rowing; or
• someone who has left school in the last few years and thinking about returning to rowing

Year 11 rowers TRC's program for this group runs during Term 2 and Term 3. As this group is highly subscribed each year, we are looking for competitive athletes who are striving to be in top school crews and who want to continue with rowing after school.

Athletes must attend the Trialling Day before being offered a place in this group in the squad.

Year 12 rowers At Toowong, we understand that the Year 12 study workload makes this a challenging time in a young adult's life. We are keen to support you on your rowing journey beyond school but catering to your priority to complete year 12.

We want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with the sport until you have completed year 12 and are ready to continue competitive rowing after school. For you, this is simply a pathway so that you can balance rowing and schoolwork.

Those who have left school in the last few years This program is aimed at those who have left school but still have the rowing bug and are thinking about easing themselves back into rowing. If this sounds like you, then this is the opportunity for you to pull out that old zootie and see if it still fits.

Once you have registered, one of our coaches will be in touch after they return from the Australian National Rowing Championships to be held at Champion Lakes in Perth from 27 March – 2 April 2023.

We encourage you to bring a friend from your school crew so that there is some familiarity when you attend.
